FaZe Banks Says He Started Content Houses - Video

Hecz says that OpTic created the first content house, and Jake Paul claimed his Team 10 was the first content house, but now FaZe Banks has come forward to set the record straight, saying he and FaZe Clan were the original content house in the streaming and YouTube scene.

FaZe Clan just went public with a valuation of 1 billion dollars, but nearly ten years ago, FaZe were still known mainly for churning out trick shot content from their FaZe house and had barely started competing in esports. It was back in 2014 when the first FaZe content house went live in New York, and Banks insists FaZe Clan was the first to create that content house model.

Hecz’s OpTic Gaming house may have actually beaten Banks and FaZe to the punch though, going live in summer of 2013 with big names like Nadeshot and Scump churning out tons of content by the end of the year and blowing up the OpTic Gaming brand. While OpTic originally moved all the pros into the house to help them practice for competition, you can’t deny how much quality content they started churning out at the OpTic house almost from day 1.

Jake Paul’s claim makes less sense, since Team 10 didn’t get into the content house game till 2016, when they tried to sign up as many big name influencers as they possibly could to fill the house. But while the OpTic house may have been first, Banks still argues no one did it as well as FaZe Clan did content houses...and 8 years and a 1 billion dollar valuation later, it’s hard to argue with that.
