Here's a nice discussion into how psychedelics can be used as a tool for self-exploration. The current "psychedelic renaissance" in mental health treatment shows these compounds to be highly promising when it comes to treating a variety of mental ailments. In this podcast, myself and Kara try to sketch out why this is so? Why exactly are these compounds potentially healing for certain individuals? We also look at the phenomena of ego dissolution, a commonly reported effect of ingesting such compounds - and provide some possible explanations for the psycho-therapeutic mechanism underlying this unique and atypical state of consciousness.
