LIVE: Uttar Pradesh Exit Poll LIVE | Lok Sabha Exit Poll | India Today Exit Poll LIVE | Exit Poll
As the high-octane Lok Sabha elections draw to a close, 43 days after the first phase on April 19, all eyes are now on the exit polls. The exit polls by major news channels will provide a sneak peek into the fortunes of the BJP and the opposition INDIA bloc before the counting of votes on June 4. However, it must be noted that exit polls have not always been accurate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking a hat-trick of terms, has set a target of 370 seats for the BJP and 400 for the NDA. However, the opposition has predicted that the BJP would be restricted to less than 200 seats this time. In the 2019 elections, the BJP won 303 seats and around 37% of the votes. Together, the NDA bagged 352 seats.
