A crew of unscrupulous businessmen lands in Africa. Financier Franco Donati has sent them to snatch a lucrative contract from a local industrialist named Kofi. The group includes engineer James McDougal, his wife Eva, the groveling Antonio da Borgoparuta and the latter's young mistress, Silvia: the four must beat off stiff competition from an English businessman. Kofi, annoyed that Donati did not come in person, pretends to be a simple company official, causing everyone else to find out their game.
