Shiba Inu is one of the latest crypto coins to snare the market, having been fuelled by Dogecoin's recent overnight success. According to some people, however, it could all end in tears as Shib's value could "go to zero" as investors search for more reliable investments. But some experts and early investors still have faith that it will surpass the 10 cent mark in the coming months, and that can be accelerated with a Shiba Inu and Robinhood secret partnership and with celebrity investors such as meek mill and warren buffet.

Shiba Inu’s price is standing at $0.0008568 as of the time of writing on Friday, June 4, having made losses of 12.58 percent in the last 24 hours. The coin, known as Shib, reached a high of $0.000994 in the last 24 hours, but right now it’s trailing closer to its lowest point $0.000831, recorded during the same period of time, according to Coin Market Cap. The cryptocurrency token is named and modeled after Dogecoin, a crypto asset that started off as a joke but has turned into a money-making meme machine in recent months. Less than one year old, Shib already has a market value of more than $3.8 billion as of early June 2021, making it the 32nd largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization. In another sense, Shib is still quite small despite its rise in popularity.

Shiba Inu was thrust into crypto fame when Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin revealed he would be burning billions of dollars worth of Shiba Inu coins that he had received as a gift from the founders of the project. He said, “I’ve decided to burn 90% of the remaining Shiba tokens in my wallet,” adding that he planned to send the balance of the coins to a charity. Burning coins takes them out of circulation. Buterin said he was impressed with the generosity of the dog-themed projects, but he urged other token makers not to send him any coins or power without his okay. Despite this week’s declines, Shiba Inu still remains popular with investors, who are hoping Shiba Inu will take them to the moon. It is the second most-viewed cryptocurrency on CoinMarketCap currently. The Shiba Inu community on Twitter is pushing to get the coin listed on the investment app Robinhood, whose reputation incidentally was tarnished after freezing trades for high-flying stock Gamestop earlier this year. Shiba Inu is a relatively new cryptocurrency and it trades for fractions of a penny. Nonetheless, it has made its way onto popular trading platforms including the likes of OKEx, HitBitcoin, Huobi, and Binance, which has bolstered trading volumes. Volume in the last 24-hour period hovers at $746 million compared to Dogecoin’s $2.6 billion, as per CoinMarketCap.

“American corporations have turned out to be a wonderful place for people to put their money and save but they also make terrific gambling chips,” said Buffett. “If you cater to those gambling chips when people have money in their pocket for the first time and you tell them they can make 30 or 40 or 50 trades a day and you’re not charging them any commission but you’re selling their order flow or whatever. I hope we don’t have more of it.” Robinhood, whose mission is to “democratize investing”, is often criticized for its gamification of investing. The Silicon Valley start-up found itself in the middle of a firestorm in January amid the short squeeze in GameStop, which was partially fueled by Reddit-driven retail investors. The app has taken steps to disband this reputation, by eliminating the confetti animation when investors make their first trade. Buffett said he was unhappy to learn short-term stock options activity in Apple’s stock was surging. He said he expected a lot of that activity is coming through Robinhood. Robinhood’s user growth has been explosive in 2020 and 2021. Millions of new investors jumped into the market during the pandemic, and millions more have joined in 2021. The stock trading app Robinhood added nearly 6 million clients in the first two months of the year.
