Takoda Collins was failed by everyone in his life and a system that was meant to save him. He was born to parents that were both addicts and didn’t want him.

At 11 months old, he was beaten by his biological mother, Robin Collins. She received probation and Takoda was placed in foster care.

Takoda then went to live with his father, Al McLean and his life only got worse. Al locked Takoda away in the attic and the only human interaction he had after that was abuse and torture. Al took Takoda’s life only a few days before his 11th birthday.
