'How do you not get mad as a twitch partner seeing this?' - xQcOW @Just Chatting. Update: Amouranth and Indiefoxx unbanned again by Twitch:
After being banned from the platform by Twitch, two of the platform’s biggest streamers are now welcome again as Twitch has lifted the ban after three days.
Their bans were most likely the results of their ‘ASMR’ streams, which saw them licking a microphone in different positions laying on a bed. Twitch however hasn’t released a statement on the matter itself, as they usually don’t disclose the reasons behind their bans. Still, the breaking of Twitch policy content is most likely the leading factor behind the bans. Indiefoxx and Amouranth have already been (temporarily) banned in the past, multiple times this year even.
Twitch has come under fire multiple times over the last couple months, as different variations of the IRL streams have popped up, which also lead to the creation of the Pools, Hot Tubs and Beaches category. Many people have criticized Twitch for not enabling their policy on these content and have also spoken out about this type of content on the platform.
It’ll be interesting to see how this discussion and issue keep on evolving, as creators try and find new ways to explore how far they can go before they are eventually shut down or (temporarily) banned.
