The Siege of Paris, like many events in Assassin’s Creed games, is actually a real thing that happened in the year 845. Vikings actually invaded France and plundered and occupied Paris, extracting ransom from King Charles the Bald. Some credit this to legendary Viking Ragnar Lothbrok, but others dispute that it was actually him.
